About Hayley
Qualified Counsellor & Wellbeing Expert
I have been married for over 25 years & have an incredible family of daughters & two grandsons who I adore immensely. We spent many years raising our girls in London. Living abroad was an experience of a lifetime; being able to take in the cultures & history of Europe with my family has impacted my life significantly.
My background is in Early Childhood Education & I worked as a teacher aide for a few years before following my dream of completing a counselling degree. Having a rich experience working with young people at a high school & then at Bethlehem Birthing Centre during my studies gave me a great passion for supporting young people & maternal mental health. I have worked as a guidance counsellor at Pāpāmoa College, journeying alongside students and their whānau through the challenges they face. I am a partner in Bay Counselling & Therapy along with pursuing my Private Practice.
I enjoy spending time with people in my world who uplift me. I thrive being near the ocean or out in nature & have a passion for documentaries & movies based on true stories. I enjoy doing this while eating something delicious!
